Remembering the Past
On Saturday, my Papaw (grandfather) and I went down the road to an old farm. We took some pictures of the old barn and the old house. I have been wanting to go down there for such a long time to take pictures. They’re planning on burning down the old house and re-building. They’re still not sure what they’re going to do about the barn. Anyways, I should hush so I don’t ruin the video.

Let me know if this video works OK. I added the MP4 video type to the .htaccess file, hopefully it should be streamable. I also encoded the video using a much lower compression, hopefully it will work out OK!

Damn Andy. You live in some beautiful country. That barn is beautiful and tells a very important historical story. Recording you Papaw’s recollections are priceless and will be very valuable to you and your family in the decades to come.
Thanks for sharing this with me and giving me this memory as well.
From a tech standpoint, I had to wait about 5 minutes for it to load, then it ran beautifully and clearly.

I love your Papaw. He reminds me a lot of my own Grandpa Can’t Reid, who passed away back in 1984, gawd rest his soul. And like Christiaan said, that is some beautiful country. Reminds me of that neck of the woods where Paris Hilton and her little friends went camping in “House of Wax”. What a groundbreaking piece of cinema that was.
